Pokemon Movie: Mewto Ka Badla Summary
Ash Ketchum, Misty, and Brock's Pokémon are sent to a Pokémon-themed amusement park for a day of fun. Pikachu, Togepi, Psyduck, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle encounter a group of bullies consisting of Raichu, Cubone, Marill, and Snubbull. The two groups compete against each other, leading to Charizard, one of Ash's Pokémon, getting its head stuck in a pipe. Pikachu, along with their friends and the bullies, collaborate to free Charizard and rebuild the park. They spend the rest of the day playing together before parting ways when their trainers return.
The Complete Story of Mewtwo's Origin
Dr. Fuji, a scientist, is hired by Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, to apply his cloning expertise in creating a powerful living weapon based on a strand of hair from the mythical Pokémon Mew. Unbeknownst to Giovanni, Fuji is driven by his personal motive to resurrect his deceased daughter, Amber. In a laboratory, the clone eventually gains consciousness and is named Mewtwo. Mewtwo befriends Ambertwo, the salvaged consciousness of Amber, as well as other cloned Pokémon in the facility. However, Mewtwo is deeply traumatized when Ambertwo and the other clones deteriorate and pass away. To stabilize Mewtwo, Fuji administers tranquilizers, causing him to forget his time with his friends.
Mewtwo Strikes Back
After awakening from a prolonged slumber in a laboratory on New Island, Mewtwo learns about his origins as a clone of Mew through Dr. Fuji. Enraged by being seen merely as an experiment by Fuji and his colleagues, Mewtwo unleashes his immensely powerful psychic abilities, destroying the laboratory and killing Fuji and the scientists. Witnessing the devastation, Giovanni approaches Mewtwo and convinces him to collaborate in developing and perfecting his psychic powers. However, upon discovering his role as a weapon for Giovanni's benefit, Mewtwo escapes back to New Island, where he plans to seek revenge against both humans and Pokémon.
Mewtwo rebuilds the laboratory, establishing it as his base, and sends holographic messages to several trainers, inviting them to battle the world's greatest Pokémon trainer on New Island. Ash, Misty, and Brock receive the message and accept the invitation. However, upon arriving at the port city, Old Shore Wharf, a storm created by Mewtwo prevents the boats from sailing, forcing Ash's group to board a boat disguised as Vikings, which is actually Team Rocket in disguise. The storm sinks their boat in the middle of the ocean, prompting Ash and his friends to use their Pokémon to reach New Island instead.
Guided to the palace on the island by a woman featured in the hologram, Ash and the other trainers who manage to reach the island encounter Mewtwo. The woman is revealed to be a brainwashed Nurse Joy, but she is eventually freed from Mewtwo's control. Mewtwo challenges the trainers using cloned Pokémon resembling his deceased childhood friends. Meanwhile, Team Rocket also arrives at New Island and explores its inner sanctum, unknowingly followed by Mew. After Mewtwo's clones effortlessly defeat the challengers' Pokémon, he confiscates them to expand his clone army. Ash pursues his captured Pikachu, leading him to the cloning lab where Team Rocket's Meowth is also cloned. Ash destroys the cloning machine, releases the captured Pokémon, and leads them to confront Mewtwo and his clones. Mew reveals itself, and Mewtwo challenges it to prove his superiority.
The original Pokémon engage in battles against their clones, except for Pikachu and Meowth, who reconcile after realizing the futility of their fighting..
